A few good questions is all you may need
Sometimes, all a business owner needs is a few good questions.
We all have the ability to ask ourselves good questions. Such, that brings us to new ideas and solutions, show us what we need to improve or change.
However, we rarely ask ourselves those questions. And there are many reasons why. It can either be fear to face our own answers, inability to see things from a different perspective or simply now having enough information.
One thing I know for sure. Getting questions from others is extremely valuable.
Sometimes, it literally takes one question to turn a business around.
A few days ago, one lady approached me. She has started an online magazine and was having issues finding contributors and subscribers for her magazine. I had a brief look at her magazine and asked her: “Who are your readers, or who would you want to read your magazine?”
Her answer was: “everyone, all the women around the world”.
I loved her ambition, yet we had to overcome her current challenges and come up with a plan on how to get the ball rolling.
I don’t want to bore you with all the details, but what I would want to share with you is this.
With that one question we have managed to:
- define how to find appropriate contributors
- come up with an idea on how to get her subscribers
We were also discussing on how to get traffic to her website and which other things would have to be changed or optimized.
It only took us 20 minutes to find answers on her current challenges!
What are the challenges you are facing right now?
